  • It is not our place to judge others... this is only done by the authority of God Himself. Therefore, as a Christian, I recognize many things as sins and try not to participate in them, but I am a sinner and can not judge others. Let us remember that Jesus was on the cross dying and still was able to utter the words, "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do." People need to start listening to the words of our savior before they defend them, lest they contradict them.

  • I cry every time I listen to his speeches... his words speak a universal message and that's a reason he has gained and still is gaining a great deal of support from people from all over the world... his words are something that everyone should listen to- they might be to some extent too ideological or Utopian but I strongly believe that if we as humans had more leaders of his kind we could make the changes we all hope to see...

  • I like listening to this speech. Hope.

  • IF you are going to put your hands together, next time, think about keeping them together, for that is the only clap that God hears

  • I personally feel this is Obama's greatest speech so far. He did walk a very fine line in in trying to create a common ground on such a sensitive issue. For those who say words dont matter, I can only say leaders are there to inspire people and one way of achieving this is by Words.

  • Is it bad that I hope that all of the Notre Dame alumni and Catholic evangelicals felt terribly bad and guilty for demeaning Mr. Obama after hearing this speech?

  • Obama should be judged by his actions, not by his words...

    Words are cheap

    Action is golden.

To me, his actions are NOT consistent with the founding principles of our country.

  • can someone explain what happened at 3:30?

  • @ThatGUY666666

Oh no, now you don't believe that.

  • I am a libertarian republican. I support the pro-choice movement!

  • brilliant predictive anticipation from Obama.

he prepared an excellent speech about bridging opposing views and about COMMON ground and had the perfect counter against the pro-life hecklers
