On the 19th april 2011, this morning Elisabeth Sladen died.
Elisabeth Sladen first appeared in the 3rd doctor era then 4th and made severeal appearances since, She was a true ledgend who then later on got her own spin-off show The Sarah Jane Adventures. I know that she will be missed by family, friends and doctor who and sarah jane adventure fans. Elisabeth sladen potrayed Sarah Jane Smith and is the longest on screen appearing companion

ELISABETH SLADEN DIED OF CANCER.
SHE FOUND OUT SHE HAD IT JUST BEFORE THE FILMING OF SERIES 5 OF SJA, BUT HOWEVER WENT AHEAD WITH THE SERIES NOT KNOWING IF SHE WOULD MAKE A FULL SERIES APPARENTLY SHE ALREADY DID ALTERNATE ENDINGS FOR HER CHARACTER SARAH JANE... THE FATE OF THE SARAH JANE ADVENTURES IS CURRENTLY UNKNOWN

Well hopefully the tardis builder would hop into the future and discover the cure for cancer and bring it back to save the ultimate companion...my mother laughed at me when I started to cry seconds after hearing it on the BBC news. After watching the tribute I have no qualms about crying now......
