The Birth of Baby Cloud

Cloud was born on April 11th at 7:10 AM. She was foaled at the top of our pasture, but in her attempts to get up, managed to slowly roll down the slippery muddy hillside.

Once up though, mama taught her how to negotiate the terrain, and she's buzzing around it at a good clip.

She's by Goodtime Mo out of Outlaw's Blue Breeze. Her Grandsire is the World Grand Champion Motown Magic, and her pedigree includes Merry Go Boy, and Midnight Sun.

She's very naturally gaited, even at this age, just like her papa.

This video and otheers like it are what I like about youtube. Very nice video, my wife and I both liked it very much. I took us back to the not so distant past when our filly was born. Brought smiles and a couple chuckles from us both. Well done, five stars.

tagoat, Dude, what is your malfunction? Why do you have so much negative to say to astroland about their video. You must not have very many friends accross the pond there. This video was well made, the content was very good. What qualifications do you have that gives you the latitude to be so critical?

:D -- Yeah, thank goodness for confusing animals for sentient creatures capable of bonding with a human. You know, we want to handle these foals for farrier and vet work, and eventually we want to RIDE these critters as WILLING mounts. And that starts the moment they are born. The introduction to the human species sets a very critical tone for the horse. And I agree, it can, and often is, done wrong. But when done right, it sets that foal up to win in life.

In fact, in certain circles, that scenario would define you as a troll.

Perhaps your critiques would be better received if you could post a good example, instead of bashing what others have done (and done successfully, I might add). After all, someone as seemingly knowledgable as you must have "loads" of pearls to toss before swine like us.

Actually, it is a baby. And actually, it does belong to me. And actually, those are not wellington boots. They're actually Muck Brand boots. And I actually counted at least 5 frames that had no boots in them, maybe more.

That being said, the imprinting was done after countless hours of research, and strictly followed the instructions of Dr. Robert Miller.

The result is a foal who is respectful, obedient and quite happy. Oh, and I might add, actually does NOT belong to YOU. So butt out.

No. Goodtime Mo is a Tennessee Walking Horse, by Motown Magic, 1989 WGC Tennessee Walking Horse. Motown Magic is out of a Go Boy's Sun Dust (1967 WGC) mare, Sundust Little Miss, by Go Boy's Black Fury. No thorobreds to be seen.
