KUALA LUMPUR: Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek admitted he is the politician in the sex DVD circulating in Johor. In a press conference here Tuesday, Dr Chua said the girl is his "personal friend". He apologised to the Malaysian public, supporters and his colleagues. He said he did not make the tape himself. Dr Chua said he will not resign over the sex DVD. He will leave that up to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to decide. The sex DVD had been circulating in Muar, Tangkak and Batu Pahat over the past few days. The existence of the DVD was first reported in the Chinese dailies on Sunday while a Bahasa Malaysia daily reported about it Monday

A minister has been linked to a sex scandal following the emergence of a DVD showing a couple in a bedroom romp. The man in the digital video disc is said to resemble a senior MCA politician from Johor. Police have started an investigation into the distribution of the DVDs in several places, including Muar and Batu Pahat. It is not known how the video was shot or obtained. Johor police chief Datuk Hussin Ismail said police were investigating the matter under Section 292 of the Penal Code for distribution of obscene materials. The discs were reportedly dropped into selected post boxes of houses
Police will investigate the authenticity of the Sex Video allegedly involving a Senior Politician. The video made into two separate DVDs said to be widely distributed in Muar and Tangkak. The IGP said the police will ascertain to what extent the DVD has been distributed and also the persons distributing them. He said the police have yet to receive a complaint or police report lodged by the alleged person. Local Chinese dailies have over the past two days reported the DVDs were first distributed in Muar and then in Batu Pahat and Seremban. Copies of the DVDs were anonymously placed in various streets in Muar town for people to collect. Some copies were also distributed to a number of shops to collect. The video depicting the alleged sex act was believed to have been recorded using a CCTV
