Funny you say that. I prefer Shiner Bock to Pearl, so that's what I say when I sing it.

@ballisticchops The Terry Allen lyrics have "Pearl Beer" in that spot...I've heard several other versions of this from REK, and he's said "Shiner Bock" before, but he typically pauses there. I think the idea is to let the crowd shout their favorite Texas brew at that point.

you know....i hate it how anyone could compare anything that has to do with robert earl keen to brad paisley...REK IS KING...there is no doubt that if it wasn't for him there would NOT be a randy rogers band, ccr, stoney, wade bowen....this guy is god....and funny as hell

I was about to disagree with you that without REK there'd be no CCR...until I realized that you meant Cross Canadian Ragweed and not Creedence Clearwater Revival haha!
