@Mandolin1944 Yes, Silver Spear is usually in the key of D, but he is playing it here in the key of G as you observed. Good ears!

That was awesome! :D how long have you been playing mandolin? you are an inspiration! I've played 5 weeks now but i have played the violin 10 years so i can pick songs on mandolin easily. Any tips? Well keep up the good work! :)

This is pretty good. It doesn´t sound too Irish to me...it misses something. Some accentuation I guess.
But it sounds really nice, definitely.
