@kinkyplunk 1:18 he pulls the jar from under the table under cover of the scarf. That's why the scarf gets stuck round the jar and he says "I can't... I can't ....come on..." Very lame trick and obvious how it is done.
Also orange cylinder is wider at one end than the other which is why it stops the jar being pulled up and how he does the bit of business at the end.
