As the Rev tells it, and Luke Jordan (1927), Johnny Cash and Eric Clapton tell it Cocaine=Blues. Maybe Buck Cherry will grow up someday and realize the blues ain`t worth the high. Freud finally realized it and Conan Doyle lived in a fantasy world. Today it has become a cancer due to strict prohibition. 28,000 dead in Mexico will attest to this.

@effoff22 Why would a patent medicine show perform a song that says "...cocaine will kill you"? You're pretty ignorant about something you're posting for the world to see? Look into your music history. You're right about the date though. Even the Rev. Gary Davis was doing a cover of the song, which he had grown up listening to.

@ibuprofen303 Mr Rev Gary Davis is perhaps the most versatile Blues/Rag and Gospel Guitar player. You never know what he is up to, but in the end I think its very good Music !
