To get this ending Norman will have to solve the puzzle and figure out the killer's identity. He will also have to kill him at the end.

You may only get the interview part if Norman is the one responsible for saving Shaun.
(I might be wrong, but that's how I got it.)

How exactly is this a bad ending?

Compared to the other ones where Jayden either dies or resigns, this is not that bad.

So he's a little delusional of ARI; nothing a therapy session can't fix.
