When i decided to cover this song there was no other way i was going to start this new set of videos with anything else. Just like "Puzzle", many of the tracks on "Only Revolutions", split the biffy fanbase, as a lot saw it as way too mainstream and nothing like the material on pre-puzzle albums. It took me a while to realise but after jamming this song a bit, it has had everything a great biffy song has, which is a powerfull chorus, odd time signatures, downbeats, upbeats and an awesome/odd outro.

If anyone is looking for songs to jam along to behind their kit, i highly recommend this track, aswell as pretty much any other tune in the Biffy Clyro library.

Mon the Biff.

  • the singer in my band wants to do this but i'm like i can't play that i'v only been playing for 1/2 a year

  • @o0Painaholic0o The best advice i can give you at this stage is, if you want to learn a song, stick it on repeat on your mp3 player and go for a walk. Breaking a song down using your ear is the best method for any drummer wanting to learn any song.

    Good luck.

  • dont get me wrong, you are really good. But i think you added a bit too much in places

  • @o0Painaholic0o once you figure it out its not hard, just keep practicing it

  • a little too much flash, but verry good none the less :D

  • Nice cover man, tight. I don't like the snare much though. I think it's a little high in the mix. And a little dead, but that could be easily sorted. Why would it sound better through headphones?

  • one of the best kits ive ever seen

  • great cover great kit great cymbals great playing great mics. i would like to see more meinls there:) meinl are great cymbals dont be afraid of buying them, im not only telling you i am telling everyone;p

It doesn't matter for how long you've been playing.

Just listen to the song and play what you hear, it doesn't matter if it's not the exact part that Ben Johnston (Biffy's drummer :)) plays, then it just gives it more of your own touch to the song.

Hope you understand what I mean and good luck with your drumming and your band. :)
