No one I knew said said "Hey I am going to OSU for their basketball team No one at all." I don't know about you but when it came time to apply to college everyone at my school wanted to know about engineering programs (The largest undergrad group I have talked to at OSU and the main reason people choose it. Including myself.). Basketball is a revenue source not a way to attract more intelligent individuals. And I don't care how big that endowment number is . For me it's where that is spent.

the amount spent in athletics is nothing compared to the endowment campaign going on right now. google "branding success"...educate yourself. BTW, it's like a chicken/egg thing. Successful athletic programs attract more/better students and faculty, and give schools a chance at being an AAU member, etc. And if that isn't enough, look at these videos...OSU is not the only one with nice facilities. If your aim is to boycott a school that doesn't care about athletics, have fun at Greendale.
