Oh my god. She's beautiful.

Nice I bought one just like it new, it had 9 miles on it and I was told it was driven 100 miles to our dealership from New York -- go figure. I traded a Triumph TR-3 for it and cash. One of the brake pads was installed backwards in the front which gave me grief. Electric overdrive and Lucas "flame thrower fog lights - Loved the car. I had it until it got a small hit and I could never get the paint to match. 1 year and a half mine till I got a 66 Ford LTD !! Sad huh ?

I registered a youtube account just to tell you how wonderful this is. My father passed away 2 months ago and he owned a car just like this. We worked on it hours together and these cars are very special. The car had to be sold some years ago, but today I own another one of his more recent sport cars. I'll also miss my dad and treasure his car. You did a beautiful thing here. Thanks for sharing it.

daholocaust is mistaken. The "phase one" MK III like mine had a single duel purpose parking/directional light. The phase two, MKIII, starting in 1965 till the end of production in 1967 had separate parking and directional lights. Cheers.

Nice story. You Brits do things a little differently over there, don't you. Here in the States, we try to avoid hitting the pub and park out side. Thanks for saying hello... mate. Cheers!
