@chibiariel The episode where the writers clearly ignored the clip notes about Vulcans.

this is good because i use startrek when arguing with bible zomby's and like minded people.i just tell them that everything could be just like startrek.we could be going warp speed to other planets and galaxies and they would think we were gods because we came out of the sky. some remote island natives during ww2 thought our army were gods because we came out of the sky in our planes and gave them goodies so they let us build airstrips. they built straw and stick replica's hoping we'd come back.

@AmericanMadeMud: This is what is called a false dichotomy. You take one non-religious government, point out its atrocities, and pin it on the evils of atheism. You neglect to mention the hundreds of religious governments that have done equal or worse things. The US wiped out or decimated whole tribes of Native Americans in the name of a Biblical-inspired "manifest destiny." Adolf Hitler had whole ethnic groups wiped out for a belief in Aryans being the chosen of God.
Problem?

That makes no sense. That's like saying something tastes the same whether you put peanut butter on it or not...

There is no higher punishment than to be yelled at by Patrick Stewart.

Picard is a rational and moral character! I love TNG!

nope shiningami cant.Because atheism accepts proven scientific truth but religion is based only on faith meaning its like coming and saying " i m right, all who agree with me are right and all those who dont are wrong and are heretics, and my proof is that i believe i m right ( faith)". Now sorry but u cant place both on same basket.
-
same can be said about both Atheism and Theism.
-
whoopi goldberg is not impressed athough her death in loaded weapon will be avenged. Mr. Picard are you coming to church today to morn the death of grandma?
NO !

@MyNamesNotLuke That is exactly what I`m implying. Though there is no direct scientific fact proving evolution... which is my beef. Picard is still my hero, although using a shakespearean actor to convey a message that religion is bad bad bad made me comment on the motive of the star trek organization, as in Star Trek it is set in the future and the way Picard is outraged and portrays that religion has been abolished for being a sham made me write a sarcastic comment about a possible motive. NO
All hail the PICARD!~!
