the intro talks about anthoy's trips to skiing with his friends as youngsters, they slept in a laundry, steal skiing equiptment and got high.

this album was raw and real.......i like alot of their stuff but for me one hot minute is honest and edgy......epic long songs telling stories from experiences, lifes journeys captured in music...not poppy shit that sells...

I usually state this as one of the most underrated albums of all time. Everybody gives it so much shit because Frusciante is not on it. Hillel was the original guitarist, and he was the best pepper guitarist in my opinion. Dave was just a perfect fit for the band. This album is fucking dark, depressing, mystical, deep, and just one of the few albums i can say mean something to me. Blood Sugar might be my favorite album of all time, but this album means more to me personally.

I never listen to this album, but its special and when I do listen to it I tend to think its the best and most creative one. Giveing it all up to the beauty of a mystery ;)

this beginning of this song sounds so Doorsy... i love it <3

It was a good album. It sounds pretty dark, because Anthony was hittin hard the drugs again.

@Antaninani me too but it feels wrong to like this one more because dave is the guitarist

As a bass player and obviously musician, this is THE BEST ALBUM of RHCP.

That'd go through your head
I believe this is the best chilis album after blood sugar, I personally love the dark and intense feeling Dave gave it. Very sad album for me.

All I know is Dave and RHCP never truly seemed to click. Its not really a question of whos better, just an issue of chemistry
