You just don't hear much from Poison covered by mountain dulcimer players. Hard to believe, I know. Here is my version, misteaks and all.
The phrase "bad poetry set to music" defines many rock songs. This is arguably true of Every Rose Has Its Thorn, but this breakup song, written in a laundromat, was a number one hit in 1988. It lays out pretty well on a dulcimer, too.
See the link below for the dulcimer arrangement. As usual, I figured this out by ear after finding the guitar chords. The suggested chords in my version are simplified, and transposed from the original key of G. I used four different forms of the D chord to fill out the melody line, and showed the fret numbers in bass middle melody string order the first time each chord is used, and for each change. Use the same fingering for each chord until a new one appears.
