(note: the sound starts out at a very low volume intentionally!)

I started this piece over 2 months ago but, faced with the difficulty of telling the story I envisioned for it and not being particularly happy with all of the music, I kept putting it off. A couple days ago I decided to just go ahead and finish it the best I could with the smallest amount of time and money I could tolerate.

I have a few ideas as to what the video now represents to me but if you happen to be inspired, please write down your story line, scenario or thought in the comments section, I would love to read what think!

Thank you for watching, rating and commenting on my videos!

  • Nice work, John! Good story..all the kingdoms of mankind cannot stand up to the Last King..the rock in space destroying Earth. Or, the Last King could be a satellite gazing down at earth in the beginning of the piece, with all your cool time lapse of time's beginning, then mankind entering the scene with all his monuments. Then at the end, you could round it out with the satellite looking down after the destruction, sad that its muse is dead. The Last King of a dead planet.

  • @crazedmule : Cool ideas! Thanks much for watching and commenting! :-)

  • For billions of years the earth has spun, the tides come and go, clouds pass overhead... for only the briefest time have some creatures on the planet, envioius of the clouds, reached skyward.

A king turns our gaze skyward, but it is timeless clouds that gain our envy and respect. Even this is not eternal.

Yet, vast "clouds" in space endure. Our gaze goes higher still.

(No king's tower distract the gaze of the Hubble telescope. Will I ever be able to match sock pairs from the dryer!)

  • Thank you for the cool story text, 5random1! :-)

  • Thanks justwaving! Yes, the good 'ol COTK C1670 Ensemble Generator (EnsGen to us secret society members ;-) is a key component in the main sequence sound!

Hey, did you see the newly announced COTK C1610 resonator? I'm pretty sure I will "need" that one also! ;-)

  • Thanks Philhelmon! I've always loved keyboards, synths and drums. And hey, I thought most people think all drummers are "knobs"! ;-)

  • Wow, thank you, AnalogueUK! I'll keep that in mind and come a hunting for you when ever I finally get an album done! :-)

  • Thank you, attorks! The choir and bell at the end is my favorite part too! ;-)

  • Thanks Voltor07! Good thoughts!
