  • I love these! They are so cute! Where do you get the little hole puncher thingey? (:

  • @gymfreak852 So glad you like them. I'm now swimming in bottle caps! I got the hole puncher at our Ben Franklin Store...general craft store. you can also get them at most scrapbooking or rubber stamp stores. Just to let you know, Rubber Stamp Plantation is now on Facebook! Enjoy!

  • Very cute!

  • @Craftylizette Thanks so much! hope you have fun making them too...I keep a baggie in my car with a plyers, and sometimes bend down the sides at red lights:)

  • do you have to flatten the bottle caps if i dont want to put a picture in or paint them?

  • @Happygirl185 you can do anything you like! that's the beauty of creating!!!! try it both ways...and see what you like best. You can leave them as is even if you do want to paint them or put in a picture. Have fun!

  • Wow! You make it look so easy!

  • I've tried 2 different glazes in making bottle cap jewelry (Americana Triple Thick Brilliant Brush on Glaze and Americana DuraClear Gloss Varnish), and they made the ink from my pictures run. Will Diamond Glaze do that?

  • I call it a "pick":) Ben franklin sells them with their glass etching stencils. Love that tool

  • what is that wood pick thing called?

  • Thank you Debra! Very good tips. Always good to keep tools close by never know when you will need them.

  • @chasethegoose Have great fun! I'm now using pliers to flatten the outer rim of the caps. finding it much easier, less noisy, and I can do about 6 caps per red light! I keep a baggie with pliers in my car. LOL! Also am using heat gun to pop out any air bubbles in the coating resin. It only gets better! Palms waving aloha,

    Debra

  • This is awesome! I think I have a new hobbie :-) Thanks for sharing you make it look very easy to make.

  • Hey! this was a great tutorial! I liked it a lot. I have a question for you though. You know that diamond glaze you mentioned? Do you think I could put that on top of acrylic paint to keep it from chipping?

  • @RubberStampHI ohhhh okay yaay I'll try these methods thank you for your wisdom!! ^-^

  • @smallpersonx I've hammered it both ways...sometimes smashing from both sides so i can get them symmetrical. When i prepare several dozen of same brand cap, i can usually match them up in pairs later. I also sometimes use pliers to bend down the edges. I keep tool and baggie with me if I'm waiting somewhere!
