@slalfordjrnc - Good question. From generation to generation in the Bible is about 40 years. However, a generation passing is the life span of that generation. According to the Bible about 70 years.

I have read the Bible. Did you read, better research what I wrote, "God and religion...?" There were religions before Christ. I respect Christ' philosophy. Who has lived His words? "If thy right hand offend thee...?" 

Christ is not a church, men have made Him so, to control the masses. Is that correct, or should I ask you to get in line take a number, and have a seat, with the rest of the hypocrites?

I tend to agree with you. Religion is a way for men to get what they want, manipulate others for they own purposes.

That is why Scripture says, "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." James 1:27

The reason the name 'Rosh Hashanah' is not in the scriptures is because this is 'Feast of Trumpets' Babylonian name. Judah didn't begin using this name until after they came out from the Babylonian captivity. (This is what I found in research but always double check.)
