Isn't there any danger if the turbine goes straight up to max revs just after it started? I mean, doesnt it need to heat for a while on low revs before a full thrust? I've always imagined that this video sets it straight to max (from the sound and the fact that the turbine itself actually moves from torque).

lol put that engine IN the NSX!!!! Nah wouldn't be practical, fuel consumption wayyyyy to much, nice thought anyway :)

it probably won't fly away... the T50 is a turboshaft jet engine. It's designed for use on a helicopters to turn a transmission. They are not thrust based.
Commonly you see these on turbokarts... nice find!
