@jayc981 soz,jay ur wrong Australians recovered the body and also gave him a full military funeral,u can check the real footage on you tube if you like, thats if you know your uniforms of WW1 weyou'll see they were Australians.
-
@tyrantbad He was given a military funeral by the brittish because he and many other ww1 pilots had honor.
the red baron flew for competition not for killing
-
@csenkb wrong, he was shot down by billy bishop. he didnt die from being shot by the canadian, but from the impact of the crash
-
@McLarenMercedes todays weaponry is trying to eliminate the "game of death"

They'd probably love the ejector seats.
And they'd also probably think that not using a machine gun to shoot down ones enemy, rather using some computer and radar guided missiles to shoot down and enemy one doesn't even have visual of and who often doesn't even have a chance to shoot back would be "ungentlemanlike" and "cheating".
Markmanship was critical in WWI and that required good flying skills. No computers or other things helping the pilot like today.

Lol, true.
-
@villagepizza2 he flew a triplane for his last 20 victories.
-
i bet not one person has pointed out the red baron didnt fly in a triplane and HIS PLANE WASNT EVEN RED
-
lol the last word the red baron said when they found him in his planes wreckage was "CAPUT" LOL!!!!!!
who actully killed the red baron will always be debated .
but it can never be debated who gave him a military funeral with honour like a hero he was rather then let him rot on the battlefield.
