i wanted to ask a ?? i have a 1997 dodge ram van 2500 with a 3.9 the van runs fin after driving it for about 15 to 40 min it shuts off and have to coast to the side or stick it in nutral to restart some times it take s a few to restart some time it fires rite back up the fuil presure is 45 psi and im lost i was thinking perhaps i should replace the fuil pump but im not sure any sugg
@jjenson2006 Couldn't agree more - you don't need any of that expensive stuff to fault find on a car. All you have to do is understand the basics of how the engine works and what parts are for! A lot of modern cars give fault codes which show which sensor has identified a problem, but you still need to understand WHAT causes that problem. That's what catches a lot of "new" mechanics out - they change the part the fault code refers to without realising what is wrong. Experience is valuable!

Question, on my chevy truck the fuel pump relay is not numbered like that. It is E, C, A, D and F? at a lose on how to test this one.
