  • This was great! My friend gave me a cutting of her lemongrass while I was visiting Jamaica. It has roots but the top has browned and I'm afraid it didn't survive transporting to the USA. Can you offer any assistance?

  • @victoriousgoddess Hi there vg, thanks for the comment, your in the middle of summer, i think it should do well if you plant it & keep it mulched & watered & away from the afternoon sun. Give it some organic liquid fertilizer. I can't think of much else except maybe potting it & moving it around to avoid the hot sun until it gets established & then plant it in the garden. I hope it goes well for you v/goddess. keep in touch. take care, cheers from jeff

  • I'm wondering if it will survive winters in the Pacific Northwest. Again...bless you folks for taking the time to share your discoveries.

  • @msskimbot Hi msskimbot, thanks again for for your comments. We live in a sub-tropical area, about 60 miles north of Brisbane. A nice lady who did a video on lemongrass tea said you could even grow it in Alaska. You must be coming into summer, I wonder if there are any seedlings available at your local nursery or flea markets. If they grow well in summer, you could harvest it all before winter & freeze it. Thanks again. Cheers

  • Wow... thanks so much for filming this. Your garden area looks very tropical. Do you live in a very warm location? I'm going to have some trouble locating a live lemon grass plant I think. Thai Food or Asian Food stores?

  • @msskimbot Your welcome msskimbot, The pleasure is all mine/ours. I guess an asian store would be good place to start, actually a Thai restaurant might be able to point you in the right direction of someone who grows it, to share a cutting with you, anyway good luck with it. cheers
