Alice's skin (Last of the Mohicans)

Alice was always treated with extreme protection by everyone around her, always separated from the real world. She always thought the world was a place of peace, beauty and safety. but she was wrong, and in the last moments of her life she meditates about all that. She feels guilty, she believes that because of her weakness she was no able to survive and help the man she loves, and deal with the cruelty that separated her from her family. She is lost and away from all the things she ever wanted in her life, all her needs are broken and lost forever.
