  • i thought that was a bass part!! that sounds soo much better!!

  • @4strings2kill Yes it does sound better!!! As a matter of fact I went and watched Billy Idol at The Fresno Fair last October and that is exactly how Steve Stevens played the intro...at the 7th fret doing both parts ;-) Glad you enjoyed it.

  • thank you very much for the video - it is the first time i see and hear this riff in an 100% authentic way.

  • You are very welcome!

  • Our band does this as a cover and i play the low end on bass but i think ill make the guitarist do his part now! Haha! Bass fingers need rest during a 3 hour set whenever they can get it.

  • just keep practicing, start out very slow and deliberate, don't try to speed it up until you can do it cleanly. You should get in the habit of this with every riff you learn. Start off with just the first couple notes. get comfortable with it, then add some more. To learn anything thats worth playing, you almost have to become autistic and not mind playing the same lick over and over again, day after day, and one day, VIOLA! It starts sounding right and you have it down!

  • nice dude, so accurate

  • Man thats tough!!!!!!

  • good job dude. that riff is hard to play for most people! you nailed it !

  • Great Lesson! Best I have seen on this. all lesson should be like this!

  • My lord bro,..that takes some coordination to even start with. I guess you have to have a lot of skill to play this. I can't even begin to do it. I can't keep the 10ths going when I start the notes. I get all messed up. Very nice playing man. Perfect.
