what type of crystal is that? its not quartz...

My god, I'm really envious of you guys... I've always wanted to go hunting for my own geodes. All there is around Singapore is granite, granite and more granite. Does anyone know, though this might sound a little far-fetched, any place in Singapore you can find geodes? ):

@proffromgview most of what we found was similar to what's shown on this video. There were some geodes that were impossible to get out of the basalt andsmall nodules of agate. But, we got lucky with an agate nodule the size of a baseball (purple and green) and then one that was slightly bigger which was banded and showed some blue (only a small part is exposed so it's hard to tell if it's going to be blue blue or just grey blue). We haven't had a chance to do anything to our finds yet ($).

@truenolevinAe86 Excellent! What kind of stuff did you get? What size? Did you cut/polish any of it? In the fwiw's department, I used to be on the Ellensburg Helitack Fire Crew based out of Liberty back in 1980, and my first fire that season was on First Creek! Not far from this site.

I had the same experience. We ended up climbing around curve after curve because we couldn't make a correlation between the map and the directions (distance) and after some searching went down empty handed at the end of the day. The next day we went up again and after some more head scratching we eventually picked a cut and started searching/ climbing. The cut we chose was excellent. and yielded some great material. All worth it in the end.
