When in 1962 Lata Mangeshkar sang this patriotic song, it moved Pundit Jawarlal Nehru, the Indian Prime Minister, to tears.

A heartfelt song for those who gave their lives fighting the Chinees. I have always loved this song regadrless I am a proud Pakistani. Please ignor hate remarks by some hate mongers, not all Pakistanis hate India and not all Indians hate Pakistan. We CANNOT forget 50,000 years of history.

@vishalshalu100 Agree! I have more blood relatives in India than Pakistan!! I served in the United States Army and studied Chinees invasion of India and saw some war footage. I cried my eyes out watching the brave Indian Warriors who gave their lives fighting an overwhelming force , some of them looked like my relatives. I had heard this song when I ws growing up in Pakistan and loved it. I do remember this song was not seen as "anti-Pakistan" then. These walls will come down one day!
