Luther Wright and the Wrongs made a monumental tribute album to Pink Floyd's The Wall a few years back and made it their own calling it Rebuild the Wall. This song is Nobody Home with some tweaks to make it sound much more like a song recorded circa 1950. As an aside, the raucous tune on the radio was a running joke in the Ma & Pa Kettle movies along with Pa slamming his chair down to operate the radio. The song was Tiger Rag first recorded in 1917 although it is much older. A number of state universities, including LSU, used it as a fight song. It is also sometimes known as Hold That Tiger.

  • Yes it is. Luther Wrights cover of the Wall is fantastic. I wish more people were familiar with his work.

  • that made my morning! love it! aussie floyd pre show music. I like it!

  • @CuylerHillKing I spent many summers attending the same camp in rural Quebec back in the 60s. There was only one tv (located in the home of the camp owners) and occasionally it was brought down to the building that housed the old kitchen (complete with wood burning cast iron stove and three porcelain sinks) and placed carefully in the dining hall where we sat and watched Ma & Pa Kettle and old Chaplin films. It was always in the evening, but I don't remember what day of the week.

  • @pcoristi I've asked friends for years if they heard of the -Ma + Pa movies . They were my favorite to watch on sunday mornings when I was a kid -45 to 48 yrs.ago. When and what part of the day did you get to see them ?

  • Great edit! LOVE the Rebuild the Wall album!

  • Rebuild the Wall is amazing! Moves me to tears.
