A Bat Phone I made!
Battery powered and microprocessor controlled to ring at random intervals, it plays a user recorded message when answered. The base has switches to turn off the bells if required and to record the message.

  • It's a "bat phone" in the sense that it rings and lights up as the bat phone did in the cult 60's tv series. The voice recorder bit was to meet a drinks company promotional needs for their campaign. The model that followed this one had high intensity lights such that the whole phone light up when it rang exactly as the original did in the tv series.

  • I beg you to upload a video tutorial on how to make this :|

  • Hi there,

I'm afraid to produce a video tutorial of how it was made would be a bit long winded. But I can tell you that it was hacked from a standard American style phone, fitted with microcontroller that dealt with the lights, switches and voice recorder board, and all battery powered. It was comissioned as a promotional device for a drinks company.
