I would think wrist control would still be the best. The problem with securing a tricep is that in a sweer situation, the arm can be posted out, unless the tricep is opushed into the hips. Studying this move, the triceps cannot really be forced into the hips since the circling leg would allow the combatant to post and add resistance. Notice how the sleeves are controlled and the combatant arms are SWAYED away from his body. It's more leverage than isolation. Ive been training a week, so, idk.

Is that why Royce Gracie handily dispatched of Dan Severn? Is that why a month after taking BJJ classes I could submit my two friends that wrestled in high school and have both weight and strength advantages on me? Wrestling has too many holes, too few ways to finish, and places too much emphasis on raw strength over technique.

yeah dan severn is a 200 greco roman,sambo,judo and freestyle wrestler and gracie is a 140 bjj fighter and win

Still useful to know wrestling for pinning instincts though, BJJ moves have way higher success %s when applied from a dominant position. But ya, I agree BJJ really does help you submit bigger people.
