Seattle has musically always been more than grunge although it was bands as Nirvana, Soundgarden and Alice in Chains that put the city on the map at thebrginning of the ninties. Bands Of Horses successes with record "Everything all The Time" got the world to face its ears to Seattles musicscene again. The band has today moved from the town, but guitarist Matt Brooke stayed and started up "Grand Archives". Follow Matt into Seattles music scene 2008. Also meet Tiny Vipers and Fleet Foxes.

  • I would take rain all year than sun all year. The rain is beautiful.

  • 1:28 Mark Arm is still more punk than anyone since. I don't understand my generation and their lame ass music either.

  • also, dreamer by tiny vipers pretty much fits the description of space and darkness she talks about, hella amazing song...

  • song at 3.39? recognise it...

  • @GUNtheband Yeah. Fleet Foxes don't cut it for me. I can't imagine music without rebellion. I like the passion and energy of the last generation rebelling against the dysfunction in their lives. They had a certain sincerity and honesty that is totally lacking in much of today's music.

  • Fuck the weather the PEOPLE in this video are depressing me. Christ.

  • I taught my children along the lines of Michael York. "Every Teenager on Earth wants to be an American Teen." But added, Every American Teen seems to want to go to California. And every Californian seems to want to live in Seattle. Seattle is truly The Jewel of Metropolis', The Emerald City and we do love The WIzard - OZZY, when he comes through too!!!!! This video is about way more than the music, it really helps explain to others a side of the PNW culture. NICE!!!!!

  • Can LIGHTS FROM SPACE be on part 4?

Seattle is, and always will be beautiful. It doesn't rain here all the time... Our summers kick ass. The fall and winters are nice.

Everybody wants to be a part of SEATTLE... It's just a matter of time until we find a spark to light up Seattle once again in the music scene.

You can't deny the cities healthy lifestyle, interesting people, love, and open heart for expression.

  • Jesy, and her musics so beautiful.

    i love her concepts :]

  • Why does everyone have to look like they haven't taken a shower in 3 weeks to fit in in Seattle or the Seattle music scene? Fuck, isn't there room for anyone with any individuality up there??

  • lol the kids went nuts for this shins record , but they are good kids. Yes we are good kids!
