  • A little historical note. This is the first Rap record to use a drum loop. No samplers existed in 1979. It was done with a 4 bar tape loop. The percussion and bass were overdubbed to the loop and Spoonie did his rap over that.

He's also playing a bunch of the percussion stuff.

  • true hip hop is the shyt!

  • @RhythmWeasel

I love those type of background details, thanks for the info.

  • @CyberBerryStudios its not in one of them. can i just send you it so you can hear it, i gt the start but not the rest without the details of the artists.

  • @TheSinghFIRE Don't look further for it. The one who said it is... Spoonie Gee. He also says it at the beginning of the Monster Jam, and Grandmaster Flash used it at the beginning of the Adventures of Flash on the Wheels of Steel. If that's not what you were looking for, let me know where else you heard those lines !

  • @MTXSHO9732vV8SHO Dude, have you heard of this dude called "Biggie L?" He has an album called "Lifestyles of Da Rich and Famous", he's fucking sick dude! Time to go snowboarding, peace brah!
