learning about river basins in a geography lesson, using Second Life

this is a video of a Grade 9 class in Singapore, filmed during one of their geography lessons, in which they used Second Life to learn more about drainage basins.

the lesson started with a group of students from within the class, sharing with their peers how they had gone about terraforming a drainage basin. this part of the video has been subtitled and deliberately blurred in order to protect the privacy of the students.

the second half of the video shows excerpts of the students' in-world activity, as they collaboratively formed their own river basins in their respective plots of land.
