Small Faces - Lazy Sunday 1967

Lyrics:
A wouldn't it be nice
to get on with me neighbours
But they make it very clear
They've got no room for ravers
They stop me from groovin',
they bang on me wall
They doing me crust in,
it's no good at all - ah

Lazy Sunday afternoon
I've got no mind to worry
I close my eyes and drift away

Here we all are sittin' in a rainbow
Gor blimey hello Mrs. Jones
How's old Bert's lumbago?
He mustn't grumble
Tweedle dee bite
I'll sing you a song with no words and no tune
Tweedle dee bite
To sing in your karsey
While you suss-out the moon - oh yeah

Lazy Sunday afternoon-
a - tweedle dee bite - tweedle dee bite -
tweedle dee bite
I've got no mind to worry - yeah
- I've got no mind to worry
Close my eyes and drift away-a

Root-de-doo-de-doo,
a-root-de-doot-de doy di
A-root-de doot de dum,
a-ree-de-dee-de-doo dee - doo doo ....
There's no one to hear me,
there's nothing to say
And no one can stop me
from feeling this way - yeah

Lazy Sunday afternoon
I've got no mind to worry
Close my eyes and drift away

Lazy Sunday afternoon
I've got no mind to worry
Close my eyes and drift

  • I think this is Harmony H-27 bass :)

  • What's the gear Plonk got?

  • A rooti tooti too, a rooti tooti di do...

  • @MrMoggyman Exactly!! The beat and rhythm is recognizably good.

  • Eargasm <3

  • This was the video i fell in love with Plonk! AKA Ronnie Lane! 30 years later im still in love <3

  • ...by the way, I like this song...not because it is cheesy, but because it has a good beat and a recognisable rhythm and tune to it. Note Steve's style with the guitar, gutsy, bold...that is what 60's groups were like.....they did not give a toss, here it is and you are gonna get it! The Kinks were like this too. I would like to see some groups like this today. Groups that sing and actually play instruments rather than using them as fashion accessories. U2 is one example. We need more like this.

  • Each to their own. I am lucky to have experienced 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and 21st century music! Indeed, someone from the 50's most probably would have disliked 60's music, and a lot of youngsters feel this way too. My preference? Sixties and seventies music. Many reasons. Quality, artists, variety, wonderful tunes. But that is my preference. Does not mean that there is no good modern music today.....there is.....it is just that it is not so easy to come by for the older generation!

  • you re wrong , lay sunday recorded in 68 , summer 68
