For the money the Tokai is an extremely good instrument!! Its an easily better instrument than the Epi TB although the Epi model is still Okay. I would say that the Tokai comes close to even the Gibson TB's standards. The Gibson just has that extra touch about it that tops the Tokai though. But If you are wanting a thunderbird the Tokai is a very good choice for one!!!

@liamfrantic pounds? cool! you must be british or european of some sort! (sorry just thought id say something, im just a dumb american. lol) im glad i read your comment. i own an epiphone thunderbird. i love it to death! but i think i want to try the tokai just to see the difference. but seriously, no matter if you have an epiphone, tokai or gibson, the thunderbird is one hell of a bass!
