@venniey I had seen the harness video (think I commented on it) and also knew then about the FIV. He is so much fun to watch. You have helped the "inner Merlin" to emerge.

I had not seen the first video and how he came to you. You guys are amazing. You know I can see how sad and depressed he is in this video. I can just reach out and touch it. He is comfortable but very sad. Then you look at the oatmeal video and you see a cat who is filled with joy and adventure, a cat who is so loved. And that is all because of you so a big pat on the back. What a sweetheart he is and how lucky to have you. Thank you for taking him in.

@hanssue Interesting, what a sensitive take you have on Merlin! He seemed tenative and over time I realize that he had not been around humans for quite some time. He had to learn to blink back to humans, initially he just stared. If you want a laugh, look at the video Merlin in a Harness: Carrot on a Stick.. Before he learned to walk.
He has FIV, but may very well live to a ripe old age. Maybe a low viral load. At any rate there are limits on letting him out or exposure to the other cats.

@dearmalika Thanks for enjoying Merlin, he is sure easy on the eyes!! Merlin does have FIV, confirmed. He is very healthy otherwise and we intend to keep him that way.

Merlin is a real dear. We've been walking him on a harness outside and he doesn't fall down so much....see the Merlin walks on a Harness/Leash. I have taken video and will edit and post soon. He is a fun cat. I think I'm lucky!
