The Turkomans constitute the majority of the population in the cities and districts like Telafer, Arbil, Altunköprü, Kirkuk, Tazehurmatu, Tavuk, Tuzhurmatu, Kifri ve Karatepe, as well as in the region lying along the route which passes from the south of Mosul, and which was called as the "Silk Road" in history" kerkük türkmen şehridir KIRKUK IS A TURKOMAN CITY 1) The Turkoman "Beylik"s (Turkish Principalities ruled by a Bey) and States founded in Kirkuk are the proofs of the fact that it is a Turkoman city. On the other hand, no Kurdish state or Beylik having Kirkuk within its boundaries has ever been founded in the region. The Turkoman states and "Beylik"s which covered the region within their boundaries and the period of years passed under their rule are :a. Iraqi Seljuk State 1118 - 1194 b. (The neighborhoods of Kurds are : Imam Kasim-Sorca-Rahimava-Azadi-Kirmizi Kilise-Iskan (even those names are in Turkish, and excluding the neighborhood of Imam Kasim , all of them have been established during the last 50 years).

Since when kirkuk is turkmens? Turkmens are a part of kirkuk, I agree and there's no doubt, but you have to know that the majority of kirkuk's population are kurds which proves its a kurdish city. Arabs were moved by saddam so they should go back to their own place. Futhermore, kurd have lived there since the would existed, turkemens are turkic and these came to these areas in 11th century. So what more evidence these people want, history is the prove.

Well the three countries might have war with one another. This the problem if you annex the Sunni Arab regions to Turkey or Syria, and Kurds have independence then peace will come. Some Turkmens want Turkey no doubt, and some don't. All people want peaceful Iraq, but it will come to each region going on it's own would be the best choice. I have no idea if Turkmens were killed by Saddam, as well Turkey was an ally of Saddam, and most Turkmens were apolitical and to large degree still are.

I favor the breakup of Iraq for a peaceful solution. I would like to practice my religion, and ethnosectarian identity freely. Not to be targeted by the Bader Brigade thugs or the Mahadi Army for my name, and so on.
