@MichaelKazmar ,. That version was arranged by Joe Porter, and is commonly linked with Billy Preston's "Space Race" as the co themes of Bandstand from 74-77.

This was the only version NOT to use the Bandstand Boogie as its tune...which its original version was seen as clearly dated by the late 1960's.

I more remember a lone synthesizer opening in the early 70's AB opening. Then the music would change to a swinging band sound. Then the camers asot would zoom in on Dick Clark, with his name on screen right up to the podium.
