Kate recorded this in 1995 for Davy Spillane's 'A Place Among the Stones' album - it was not included as it was felt to be too different (and distracting) from the other, more traditional tracks.

It was finally released as a B-side to 'King of the Mountain' ten years later.

The only other version on YT cuts off early, so here, with some rare pictures, is the full track.

  • @misssarahlee1, Kate Bush is an original with a total vision, like Marvin Gaye. His influence is probably also in the way she layers vocals. Americans in particular - no offense - have the tendency to put Kate Bush in boxes she doesn't belong in; girl with the high voice at the piano, "art rock". KB is obviously a child of the late 60s and 70s. You can hear influences of the Beatles, Burt Bacharach, glam rock, silly British pop, etc. in her music.

  • I had no idea this song was recorded in 1995!

  • Brilliant, good pictures too, that smile melts my heart.

  • Wow..pretty rare pictures! Just love this song :) Sexual Healing.... ;)

  • this is great, but i think her cover of rocket man is even better. but that's just my opinion.
