Here is the full DVD focusing on Carl Jung's work, discussing Alchemy, the Republic, and Carl Jung's book 'Psychology and Alchemy." This video discusses the idea that Platonic metaphysics is an Intellectual Yoga, a spiritual tradition which is magnificent, structured, aggressive, descriptive and psychologically profound. • but once you are in "Nous' must a meditation be verbal?

inner dialogue can be very useful for philosophy. but isn't a deeper meditation more 'spiritual' or belongs to the realm of the mystic and artist, and non-verbal..?

  • because it is more situated in the physical world of the body.

  • the center of power below the diaphram is best explained by the eastern idea of the dantien, or tan tien. The "magus of java" is a great book about this center. I believe it is a better example than the chakra system as pertaining to this subject.

  • Interesting. The anima corporalis corresponds, I'm guessing, to the "manipura" chakra. Is that right?

  • I have only seen the first 4 thus far and there are already too many things to mention for the 500 character limit. Although, your "therapist vernacular" makes me want to sit across from you on the virtual couch and reveal my personal thoughts.

Seriously though, I'll try to condense my thoughts and comment after I have watched the whole series.

  • He said, "...completely one out of many." E pluribus unum is, "out of many, one." Same thing.

  • from my studies of mixed martial arts I find his conclutions of Ki to be very true

  • I think, which could be my mistake, E pluribus unum translates to "from many one" or out of many one. Not one of many, it may look like this..unum e pluribus

  • E pluribus unum.
