I needed a portable device to do some waterless sampling. I used some existing equipment to whip up a nice little unit! Hope you Enjoy!

  • Yeah! Cheap and efficient - Allow's for home use as well. It's getting too cold to be out in the River all day.!

It's an 800 GPH from Canadian Tire. I would say though that a 1000 GPH would be most ideal. Can always add a flow valve. I am running the 800 straight through. I know Princess Auto has a 1000 GPH for $40.00. Current draw is still fairly low - so a good compromise!

  • Nice job Elk! Putting your au trap to good use! You have me thinking that maybe I should do something similar with mine, rather than building a separate clean-up sluice. hmm...

BTW is that 300gph pump on full blast, or are you restricting it with a valve? Is it enough water, or would you prefer more? Which pump is it if I can ask?

    Cheers!
