No mediapostle, it was most definitely written by Stevie Wonder for his first wife Syreeta and appeared on her album a full year before Beck covered it....it's common knowledge, but if you still don't believe me do a little research....

mediapostle - wrong on all accounts. Wonder wrote the song. Beck covered it on Blow By Blow on which he dedicated the song to Roy Buchanan (which is pretty evident if you've ever heard RB play - JB is clearly doing Beck doing Buchanan).

I am a little confused. I have a Gary Hoey CD that has this song on it and it is really
sweet. More mellow than Jeff Becks version, just my opinion. Your version sounds more like the Gary Hoey version. Am I wrong, or did you try to duplicate the Gary Hoey song?
I have listened to Jeff Beck do this song on several You Tube videos and they don't seem to stand up to Gary's version. Sound a little too harsh, not like your take on the song.
Anyway, it was great!
