Iowa deer hunt

I shot this nice 8 point on november 8th. He had a huge body, not a big of a rack as I have seen before, but he was a really old deer. Definately a mature buck

wow what a hog of a deer! How much did it dress out at? Great footage. It looks like you are using the same camera mount I use. I am not able to eliminate the camera shake at the point of the shot check out my 7 point kill from 09'

@tazzytwos thanks for the comment. I didn't have a mount. I just held the camera in my left hand. The hand strap was thin enough it didnt bother and the camera didn't seem to bother either. I need a tripod to avoid camera shake, but its hard to move it at full draw.

right in the boiler maker. If I remember right it was a double lung shot. You can see the entry wound in the pic at the end. just to the left of my bow

Great shot! I thought for sure you were busted when he looked up at you. My first deer was a doe in Guthrie County Iowa. She and her doe friend looked up at me right as the came into view from behind my tree stand. Had to shoot her on the run. That makes me miss Iowa. I'm still a resident though so I may have to go back next year for the hunt. Awesome video.
