Big Eck was on fire that night! Never seen him so well spoken before! If he manages to keep it up over the next 4 years the SNP majority can only rise!
Ask the Palestinians if they think the BBC is left-wing, lol.
Paxman will never reveal his "left-wing bias" because it's non-existent. In his own words: "I'm not a party political person. I don't believe there is a monopoly of wisdom in any one party."
The BBC is far from being left-wing. The BBC is like fox news in the U.S it's very very right-wing. You need your eyes tested if you think the BBC is "left-wing by nature". The left might well pay most towards the BBC licence, but it is nowhere near "left-wing by nature" . Do you think if the BBC had a newspaper it would be like the The Star or the news of the world? no, it would be a cross between the financial times, The Telegraph and The Sunday Times. BBC "left by nature" lol
Lets see his"left-wing" and "socialist " credentials...
Education: Malvern College (an independent school) then on to Cambridge.
Salary: (approx) £1,000,000. His Brother is... H.E. Timothy Giles Paxman LVO and is the current Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Spain, who was educated at Oxford. His sister works behind camera on the BBC. His book, on Royalty, was about defending the constitutional monarchy. Some socialist eh? lol.
hmm, i don't think he dislikes salmond. i think the laugh they share in the middle shows a mutual understanding of the odd kind of interview they're in. this kind of interview (i.e. the kind of pokey aggressive one paxman does well) is what is popular in england at the moment. the tone of the interview that seems to be popular here is "you're not bad because of what you do as a politician, you're bad because you're a politician". i think they both appreciate that it's that kind of interview
Seems paxo has learnt his true standing/place when speaking to our first minister. Although his body language clearly shows he has a personal dislike of Mr Salmond. The BBC is meant to show impartial view points, not personal preference, something paxo needs reminding of sometimes (it's basic journalism, you learn it in the first week of uni). Paxman is a staunch royalist and a very far right conservative and so proves he does not speak for, or on behalf of 'the people'.
