E39 M5 = best BMW ever built - to me.

Not bad for a BMW . But still W210 E 55 AMG does that in the same time with 50 Hp less.

@14words2liveby yea man. what fool compares the 525 to the m5? i dont get it. you can't compare them at all. the 525 is for pussies
-
@m5boarddotcom yh i know i can't wait till i get my e39 just for the acceleration lol
-
to the moron comparing a 525i to an M5 you are a total tool. a 525i with 192hp has a 0-60 time of like 7.5 seconds. an M5 is under 5. You pay more because the M5 is nearly fully loaded and you get better brakes, susepsnion, aerodynamics. You sound like one of those fucking douchebags who cant afford it so they need to compare something lesser to feel good. my dd is a 99 M3 which is a hell of a lot faster than a 525i but at the same time it wont hold a candle to an m5 in terms of acceleration.

As much as I love all the older BMW's I know facts. The 94 525i take almost twice as long to get to 60 as my 2000 m5 beast. The new M5's are just slightly faster but I sure wouldn't want to race one.

I don't believe anything that you're typing. No one would insure you on it in the UK.
the acceleration is so brutal

Hey, So How Fast Will An E39 m5 Go If Ya Remove The Limiter? The New Ones(e60) Do About 330kph/205mph.

I measured it to 292 km/h on GPS, see my video of it.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
You can see that a 525i totally stock can do allmost the same as a 100.000 dollar BMW, so the marginal difference does not argument 10.000% more money for buying ;) 525i rules for the fact that its today allmost for free to buy!

Whatever. The differnece is acceleration, topspeed, handling, braking and more. Drive one and you understand :) BTW this is an E39 BMW M5.
