Sorry for the poor quality but this is pretty unique, you have to admit.
Ed 'Big Daddy' Roth interviews Kenny 'Von Dutch' Howard about how he got started in pinstriping. Short but timeless.
(Greets to Bob Burns from WizDforums, btw).

  • MAN THIS IS NEAT.....NEVER DID I KNOW THERE ANY FILM OF VON.ITS HARD TO BELIEVE THAT HES THE KING OF STRIPPING ,ONCE YOUR HEAR HIM TELL HIS STORY.HOW DID HE GET TO BE SO GOOD WITH ALL THE MISTAKES HE WAS MAKING....BUT ONE THING FOR SURE IS THE KING OF STRIPPING,THE KING,THE GURU,THE LEGEND

  • @bogocero Lol. Capitalism gave you the internet, computers, you name it. Its also the only reason as you can start a business, succeed at said biz and live life high on the hog if you so choose. Ask the entire eastern block pre 90's and north korea how communism worked out. Doesnt seem too fun to me.

  • MrBobMilla...there was striping on alot of things prior to dutch, but they were lines that went from one end of the car to the other on top of body lines. There was never the pinstriping designs on the hood or deck lid like dutch did before him. Dutch did start it all, he invented modern pinstriping as we know it.

  • as a striper...this video moved me...im not going to lie

  • its so true as von dutch says, it has to become an obsession to learn how to stripe. Otherwise youll never do it. I never heard of anyone using motor oil in one shot...im trying that asap

  • Happy Birthday, Ed!

  • this is as important hearing and seeing Leonardo or J M W Turner.....oh my Thank you.

    RIP Ken and Ed.

I have seen their work for over fifty years and this is the first time I have seen them.

  • Why do they say he was the man that started it all. When in the video Dutch says himself he got into it by watching others stripe.I've been doing it now full time 4 17 years and seen stripes from the 1800s that blow ur mind even 4 today's standards .don't get me wrong I have much respect 4 this man and legend but facts are facts.and as much as I hate to say it how do people know dutch didn't tell his family go ahead sell my name if u can make some money.for the record I thing its disgraceful pe
