My Dad, Bob Mondlock, wrote these lyrics inspired by Barack Obama's run for the presidency and the feeling of hope many of us have that things could change for the better. I put the lyrics to music and during the Christmas holiday my sister Janice and nephew Evan recorded the harmonies. So this is truly a family effort. The video was shot and edited by Greg Welsch. Thank you President Obama. Make us proud! -Buddy Mondlock

  • Hey, this is a song about hope, something we could all still use a good dose of. It's true he hasn't been able to do everything he wanted to at the outset but I still believe in the guy. So, like you I guess, I have opinions about politics and the world around me. And I respect your right to disagree with me.

  • Oh, wait, I bet you got laid off too! Just goes to show what people do when they are bored crazy!

Change we can believe in my hairy ass!

    More like "FREEDOM TO FACISM".

  • Are you just finding Obama listings and making ugly comments there? Who's bored, I might ask. Look, plain old insults are not criticism. Try a little fact and substance. By the way, I don't think you know what "fascism" really means. Even Bush wasn't quite a fascist although his willingness to trample human rights and basic American freedoms brought us all a little closer to that kind of government.

  • Where was this filmed? It looks beautiful.

  • Hi. The video was shot at Radnor Lake Nature Preserve in Nashville on the Sunday before the inauguration. It was colder than it looks! Thanks everybody for checking in. Go Barack!

  • Atta boy, Buddy.

Your Dad nailed it and you put that Mondlock lip-lock on the tune. This song is a timeless anthem for hope and unity of purpose. Judging from a lot of the comments, a bunch of folks could use a swig from that jug.

  • Nearly all these comments are two or three years old. Still want to give him a chance? After forcing through Obamacare and Amnesty without a even a vote of Congress? I don't care that he is black at all. I care that he is a socialist.

  • I just watched the PBS "Freedom Riders" documentary, I forgot how bad things were in the 60's, these negative comments made here must be their children's children. Sad, very sad. All that wasted energy on hate, just like some other group we all disapprove

I voted for Obama, I will proudly vote and campaign for him again. Thanks for the song, guess you either get it or you never will.

  • Man, I really looked up to Buddy before I saw this. He should use his God given talents for something or someone worthwhile.

  • @brownthrasher77 Would you concede that the new boss is starting to look a lot like the old boss? If the last 2 years haven't been an exercise in the reduction of freedom, the expansion of government and trickle-up poverty I'd like to know what it has been. The country's health, food supply and information is being bought under government control and the "freedom loving" leftists have been silent.

  • How can it be smack when the bills are right there in the Library of Congress for EVERYONE to read. Everything he has said it true. And he didn't even scratch the surface. You need to wake up.

  • Stop talking smack dude.

  • yes , it can be a damn good idea to stick to love songs and rock and roll . Comin Down In The Rain is a truly great song .
