Actually it's false what you said about mental illness many people who succumb to conspiratorial/superstitious thinking are often very well educated and NOT insane. Take Bill Maher for example who believes that the medical community is conspiring to make people sick. He's against vaccines and I recently heard an interview with him where he came out against fluoridation. It is possible to believe something that is batshit crazy and still be intelligent at the same time.

A lot of these people have mental problems that they can't control. Also they grow up in countries where they learn nothing else. While they commit horrid things and it is their fault, they deserve to be thrown into prison, but by ridiculing someone you are just being a hypocrite.

That's no excuse to treat someone badly. Even if they believe something's wrong, is that a reason to disdain them or look down upon them? In my opinion no one deserves respect, but you should pay it anyway, even if they believe in a flying spaghetti monster. Being judgmental isn't going to take you anywhere in life.

That is true. However, immediately after he states that "the only ones with true morality are us, the atheists." I disagree because as I just said there are theists and atheists alike who are moral, and there are theists and atheists who are anything but. All I'm saying is that we are all capable of doing great good or great evil and neither trait is limited by something as superficial as our stance on whether or not a God or Gods exist, and I think it's unfair to place theists below us that way
