Well I heard about that too but still not sure it's real. And Islam doesn't actally need further evidences that it's a True and Holy relegion ;-)

Any ways they say that he accepted Islam after he went to the outer space and up there he heard some unfamiliar sound. After he came back he heard the same sound in Egypt I guess. That sound turned to be the Calling for Islamic Prayers, and he embraced Islam eventually.

But as I said, I'm not sure it's a real story.
