I think a better idea would be to contact some of the trail officers and see what is legal were you are going. Just because a company makes an exhaust and markets as a "trail" exhaust does not make it legal everywhere.

So you asked for a race can you you ended up getting something else, it sounds really nice! I think it is like anything on you tube it sounds 100 times better in real life.
Do you know if a Standard can is allowed on the trails? That sounds like the exact can i want something that at idling speed it isn't much louder then stock but once you hit the gas you know something special is under the hood!
I think i am going to contact MBRP and ask if i can use a Standard on the trails.

I have a 2002 XC SP 500 and i was woundering if you are allowed that can on the trails and is it a Race or Trail can?

It is definately not the Race can. My friend had the race version, and it was loud all times. My was Standard or Trail, not sure, but had stock sound while idling and up to 4000rpm or so. On the sticker it said: MBRP XC 5/6/700.
So, it will fit on your XC500, which is a nice machine btw ;)

Yeah you are right when you started it it sounded like stock until you really give it a good shot of gas!
Yeah i am looking in the Royal right now and the can you are talking about they make a Race, Standard and Trail can for a 500/600/700 from 02-06 (so a XC).
But you have no clue on weather it is a Standard or a Trail? I mean it is loud but i think i could get away with it on the trails!

Sorry, I have no idea. My friend bought a Race can, and I went to the same workshop and said I want same thing, but they ordered me not a Race can, just "something", they dont know, and I dont know. I still loved it :)
