What a magnificent instrument and a brilliant Organist.
I would go to the Cinema more often if they had the beautiful Picture palaces and theatre Organs - still.

I love this organ so much. I had the privilage to be allowed to play it when I was 14 years old, thanks to the kindness of the late dear Gerald Shaw.

@commodoregeorge A FINISHED compton can sound very much like a Wurlitzer. Just..there werent that many comptons that were properly finished, the cinemas wanted them in yesterday, and they never got time to make them what John Compton wanted them to be.

@commodoregeorge Its not a good instrument to play at all, and only sounds decent with some peices of music. DEFINETLY not a gd example of comptons work.
